A cinema that does not reassure

FILM

03
Cinema interests me when it removes the spectator from the comfortable position of judge.

The body becomes a moral question before it becomes an image. Guilt circulates, dogmas crack, and staging refuses to tell us exactly what the right distance should be.

What remains after the film is not an answer but an active discomfort: something forces us to reconsider the scene, the gesture, the fault, and sometimes our own gaze.

NOTE

A precise image does not necessarily soothe. It shifts the place from which we look.
